If you pass the PE exam, will you get a pay raise? If so, how much can you expect?
It’s the question that’s rolling around in your head, but you might not be saying it out loud. Money talk can be uncomfortable sometimes, I get it.
It’s a good question, though, because you’ve worked hard, accomplished a major goal, and proven that you’re an expert in your field. So, a pay raise after passing the PE exam shouldn’t be out of the question.
In addition, once you pass the PE exam, you will probably start taking on projects that require greater responsibility. More responsibility generally equals more pay.
So, what kind of pay raise can you expect after passing the PE exam? It’s not always a 1-to-1 correlation, nor as immediate as you'd like, but this video will help you understand what to expect (after you totally CRUSHED IT), including:
- The potential to make more money with a PE license
- More flexibility and freedom within your field
- The value of a PE license
